vWork 2.7 Released

We have just released vWork 2.7.  This release greatly improves the workflow around creating jobs for repeat customers.  Here is a brief outline of some of the improvements:

If you don’t want to enter new customers one at a time, you can now bulk import your customer information.  To import new customers, go to the “Admin” tab, click “Customers” and click the “Import” button.  You can then follow the on-screen instructions and upload your customer data using the template we supply.  You can also export this data at any time, so you are not locked into using vWork.

Now that you have entered your customer data, you can easily select a customer when creating a new job.  Just start typing their name in the “Customer” field and we will display a list of options for you to choose from.  You don’t have to use one of our suggestions.  If you type a new customer name, we will automatically create them as a new customer for you.

If you include your customer’s address details when you create them, you can also choose to use this address when creating a new job.  Once you have selected a customer, just click on the house icon to the right of the job step.

If you use the full version of vWork, you also have the option of adding default customers and addresses to your templates.  This can be quite helpful if you have specific templates you use for just some of your customers.
