Have you ever navigated an app or website and signed in without even creating an account? It’s more than likely that you signed in using Single Sign-On, or SSO.

SSO is a session and user authentication service that lets a user use one set of login credentials, like a username and password, for multiple applications.

Log in to vWork with SSO

From 15 November, you will be able to access vWork via SSO, enabling you to log in once and access all apps that you use each work session. Access vWork simply with no need to remember multiple passwords or open multiple login screens.

Our first release enables use of Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), a web-based SSO Provider, and in the coming months we will be integrating additional SSO service providers including Okta and Google.

How does SSO work

Technically known as a Federated Identity Management Arrangement, SSO allows vWork to use other trusted sites to verify our users. This means we do not need to hold passwords in our databases, it helps us cut down on login troubleshooting, and tightens security by centralising your login details.

Benefits of SSO

The main benefit of SSO is the convenience it provides to our users.

Convenience: With SSO there are fewer passwords to remember and login is a straight-forward click of a button. Managing all of your users can now be done in one place.

Speed: SSO streamlines signing-on, without any lengthy sign-up and authorization processes.

Transparency: You know exactly what login information is being shared with vWork.

Security: SSO lessens the chances of phishing and also means you have fewer passwords stored across the internet.

If you would like to learn more about it or add it to your vWork account, please email support@vworkapp.com. A member of our team will be in touch to talk about your requirements.
