Connected communication gets it right - every time

Change is a certainty on any construction site; the ability to flex and move with those changes is what lifts a supplier from being a pain to deal with to a valued partner. We hear it all the time from our clients; vWork’s ability to connect all the delivery dots in real time is a game changer for them and their customers. But what does this typically look like?

Step 1

An order is taken and automatically translated into a job to be scheduled. No mis-typing. No paper to be misplaced.

Step 2

Further details can be added / updated but the core information is instantly there.

Step 3

The dispatcher then schedules the delivery based on type of goods, size of truck needed, location, driver qualifications (if relevant) and any other factors; the job is scheduled for the driver to take the shortest possible route.

Step 4

Once scheduled the customer receives an email to say when the delivery will be made.

Step 5

The customer gets a txt message advising the delivery is on its way with an ETA. They can immediately respond if access to the site is delayed (or blocked).

Step 6

Any changes/delays from the customer or driver are dealt with in real time by the dispatcher - changing the timing and route - then communicating back to all parties.

Step 7

On the vWork app drivers are advised of any on site health and safety requirements and exactly where the delivery is to be made - with pinpoint accuracy.

Step 8

On offloading the driver takes a time stamped and geo-located photo of the goods. Auditable proof you delivered as promised - and the goods are in the expected condition.

Step 9

If there were any issues - including further delays or any noted damage - the driver instantly records these on the app.

Step 10

Having made the delivery - in returning to home base - should a new order be identified, the driver can be instantly re-routed to pick it up maximizing time on the road.

Because “it” happens on the job

vWork is built to address the reality of construction logistics.

The “it’s not possible”

If the site access is blocked by a concrete pour going over time, vWork’s three-way communication allows the driver, dispatcher and customer to rearrange the schedule instantly.

The “it’s just a quick favor”

When a site manager asks a driver to move a porta cabin (happens more often than you think), the driver can raise a new job in the mobile app to ensure the time is approved and invoiced.

The “it wasn’t delivered” call

When a customer claims a delivery wasn’t made, vWork provides a photo that is time and location stamped to prove it was left exactly where requested in optimal condition.

vWork is trusted across the industry

It doesn’t matter if you are delivering a set of screwdrivers to a customer or a warehouse load of insulation; vWork is fit for purpose for anyone in the building or construction supplies industry running fleets of 15+ vehicles.
